Human Tendencies
Wholistically, humans have always been community individuals one way or another. We have fought, loved, resonated, hated, learned, lived and died together throughout history. It makes me think of instances such as wars or natural disasters. Times of disparity seems to be when humanity fluctuates the most. When you have people trying to thrive in times of disaster, both the good and evil sides of humanity tend to be revealed. My point is that the behavioral patterns of us have always has been the same in the slightest. I personally believe that there are ideologies and tendencies that outlive us. It’s the way of life in which some things are conducted. the way we break bread, trade, express emotion amongst other things are a part of the human nature. The second the realization that the answer is within one’s own behavior, is the second denial ends and growth begins.
Things like trade, agriculture, hierarchy and emotion transcend time when it comes to humanity
Agricultural farming has always been substantial, from corn to rice to cotton to herbs and vegetables. It’s been a fountain of life and supplements one way or another. Grain and grown vegetables got some of the earliest forms of civilizations by as a form of nutrition and trade.
The term hierarchy cultivates a pretty wide umbrella of what consists of such. Many people think money and wealth, as that is a form or hierarchy without a doubt. However, hierarchy can look many ways in terms of rank, land and even competence. The rich get priority because of resources…because of wealth. Followed by the middle class makeup of society, who get the better end of the worse for summarization’s sake. Lastly, the poor class of society who get the scraps of what we can call resources for the time being. Consider funding or adequate healthcare and medicine for examples of what resources could be. For the most part, society has always been this way.
Where to start with emotion.. it’s in every aspect of life. Take theatre for example, a prominent art that’s been around for centuries has emotion at its very foundation. The ability to project emotions like fear, happiness envy is an imitation of life and emotional state to begin with. The evolution of theatre is beautiful to watch throughout
Trade as been a form of exchange for as long as service and currency became prominent within community settings. It didn’t take the first humans long to realize that we can get something in exchange for a possession or service. Some may argue that we SHOULD, depending on where you ethically stand. Regardless, trade has been one of the many things civilization has birthed resulting in economies and communities forming.
